Hi, I’m Holly,
I’m a young artist who’s been painting for 5 years. Art is a way for me to express my inner feelings and thoughts about myself and life.
I also like to challenge ideas we may have about ourselves and societies expectations.
It’s quite difficult to write down what my pieces represent, since they involve so many different ideas and concepts. Therefore I often like my art to speak for itself. I value the idea that my viewer can make up their own mind about what the pieces mean to them. That way they can make them their own.

My Process
I’ve explored several mediums but pan pastels is the one I’ve enjoyed using the most over the last 2 years.
Each piece takes a while because of the level of detail. There are no shortcuts in the way I approach my work.
Pan Pastel
To apply the powdered pastel I use eye makeup applicators, and sometimes a shaped sponge. I don’t use a fixative spray because it’s dulls the image and colour.
I like the vibrancy and delicacy of the unfixed image.
Digital
I’ve recently been exploring the world of digital art. Some of these I’ll make available through limited edition prints and others will be NFT’s.
I love how I can fully realise the concepts I’ve been wanting to explore, and with this digital platform I can execute these ideas exactly as I imagine them.
I’m looking forward to sharing this work with everyone.
